2. Visiting the website
When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the date and time, the page accessed and browser information. This data helps keep the website running securely and reliably and is not analysed to identify individuals. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. We load fonts from our own server, not from Google. The map on the «Getting here» page comes from OpenStreetMap and is only loaded when you actively choose to display it. When you do, your IP address is transmitted to the OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom).
3. Booking through our booking system
For availability, bookings and payments, we use a specialist booking system from a service provider based in Germany. When you use the booking window, the details you enter, such as your name, contact details, travel dates, number of guests and payment details, are transmitted directly to this service provider and, where applicable, to the payment provider. We use this data to process your booking, send you information about your stay and meet legal obligations. The service provider processes this data on our behalf. We are happy to name all the service providers we use on request.
4. Bookings through platforms
If you book through a platform such as Airbnb or Booking.com, we receive the data needed for your booking from that platform. The platform’s privacy policy applies to its processing of your data.
5. Guest registration and guest card
As accommodation providers, we are legally required to register our guests with the municipality or the relevant tourism organisation. We pass on the required details for this purpose. The guest card is also issued through this process.
6. Contact by e-mail
If you write to us, we use your details to respond to your enquiry.
7. Service providers
We work with service providers for cleaning and maintenance. They receive only the information they need for their work, such as arrival and departure times, but no payment or identity document details.
8. Processing abroad
Our website, administration and booking system run partly on servers in the EU or in other countries. We ensure that an adequate level of data protection is maintained, for example through standard contractual clauses.
9. Retention
We retain data only for as long as it is needed for its purpose or required by law. We retain booking and accounting data in accordance with statutory retention periods, usually ten years.
10. Your rights
You can request information about your data at any time, ask for it to be corrected, deleted or provided to you, and object to its processing, provided no legal obligation prevents this. To do so, write to us at info@terbiliahomes.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

We may update this privacy policy. The version published on this website at the time applies.
