The village
Narrow lanes and sun-darkened wooden houses characterise Törbel. The «Urchigs Terbil» association keeps old working buildings such as the mill alive. A walk through the village gives you a glimpse of a typical Valais mountain village.
Moosalp
Moosalp lies above Törbel at over 2000 m above sea level. From here, you can look out over the Rhonetal towards the Mischabelgruppe, the Weisshorngruppe and the Berner Alpen. The raised bogs and fens are protected and provide a habitat for rare plants and animals.
Summer
In summer, the PostBus takes you directly from Törbel to Moosalp. From there, you can explore an extensive network of walking trails – from a short stroll to a longer mountain hike. In summer, you can also experience the cattle's ascent to the alpine pastures and the alpine herders' festival on Moosalp.
Winter
In winter, you can reach the Bürchen-Moosalp ski area from the Z'Niwu ski lift in Törbel. Snow-covered forests invite you to go winter walking and snowshoeing, for example on the Panoramaweg from Törbel to Bürchen.
Easy to reach
Stalden-Saas in the valley is a connection point on the routes to Saas-Fee and Zermatt. This makes it easy to plan trips to the well-known neighbouring valleys too.
