The Moosalp in winter from Törbel

Skiing, sledging, winter hiking: in winter the Moosalp region ski area is close to our house. Here is how to get there and which winter trails we like.

Moosalp region ski area

The Bürchen–Törbel–Moosalp ski area has around 25 km of pistes and seven lifts and crosses the Moosalp pass – with views of the Bietschhorn and the Mischabel range with the Dom. Small children and beginners have the Bodmen children’s area with a large playground.

Getting to the ski lift

By car you reach the ski area in a few minutes. In winter the PostBus runs from Törbel to the Z’Niwu ski lift – the stop is right next to our house.

Winter hiking on the panorama trail

The panorama trail from Törbel to Bürchen is especially peaceful: with little change in altitude through snowy forests to the hamlet of Obere Hellela in Zeneggen, then gently down to Bürchen. You return by PostBus. The region grooms many more winter trails.

After a day in the snow

Back at the house, warm up in your apartment, dry your things and cook together. In the Upper Apartment the bathtub is waiting after a cold day.
